Training Overview
The Private Pilot License (PPL) is the foundation of aviation training, allowing pilots to fly for recreation or as a first step toward a professional aviation career. This course builds essential skills in aircraft operation, navigation, flight safety, and FAA regulations.
Minimum age: 17 years
English proficiency (must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English)
Class 3 Medical Certificate (minimum requirement)
40+ hours of instruction covering
Aerodynamics and aircraft systems
Flight planning and navigation
FAA regulations and airspace procedures
Meteorology and weather analysis
Radio communication and ATC procedures
Minimum 40 hours of total flight time, including
Basic aircraft control and in-flight maneuvers
Takeoffs, landings, and traffic pattern operations
Cross-country navigation and solo flights
Emergency procedures and flight safety
Knowledge Test: FAA-written exam covering aeronautical knowledge areas
Practical Test (Checkride): Flight test demonstrating piloting proficiency
