  • Hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Hold at least a Third-Class Medical Certificate

  • English proficiency (must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English)

The Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII)

The Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) rating allows CFIs to teach instrument flight, helping pilots gain the skills necessary to operate under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). This certification expands a CFI’s teaching scope and career opportunities.
